The discovering of Apulia is the beginning of an adventure that leads to a deep love for this region that can be visited throughout the year.
At Hotel Relais Lalì we have created a new way to experience a land that guests don’t know; a service done by local people… for those who are not. We are all the time available for any information on the most beautiful places to visit, trips, treasures to discover, local cuisine to appreciate, and folklore to know and to remember.
This section of our website aims to be a sort of ‘Diary of Apulia and its territory’ by Hotel Relais Lalì. A tribute to our land and a useful guide to those who share our way of accommodating the guests and to those who want to be always updated on the beauties that this amazing area offers.
Autumn and winter, not particularly cold, always provide a wide range of land products and offer exclusive and unique landscapes, festivals, exhibitions and ancestral traditions, which give rhythm and life to these months; spring and summer are the seasons in which the region blooms and lives intensely for the many festivals, beach parties and shows organized.
For food lovers it’s important to know that the land is full of place where to eat very good: Mottola is full of restaurants and pizzerias, Palagianello is a treasure trove of starred restaurants, the steak restaurants Laterza require a mandatory stop, Martina Franca is famous for its capicolla, Altamura for its DOP bread, unique in Europe; Apulia is also noted, on a cultural side, for the presence of the Swabian Castle near Andria, hunting residence of Frederick II, for the ‘trulli’ in Alberobello and Monte Sant’Angelo, one of the oldest sites for the cult of St. Michael, all included in the Unesco heritage.
The Baroque of Lecce, the discrete elegance of the Itria Valley, the streets of Locorotondo and Cisternino, awarded as the most beautiful towns of Italy, offer views and suggestions unique in the world.
